Turkey Neck? Double Chin? Facial Exercises can solve that, no surgery needed!

I'm turning 54 in just 3 months, and I use facial exercises to keep my neck and chin firm and taut, no surgery required!


Facial exercise can take years off your face and neck!
No turkey neck, here!


You can DO this, it's just a few minutes commitment - here's what you need to do: 1. Become AWARE of your posture. All of us are running around with Tech Neck, because we keep staring at our screens and hunching our shoulders forward, shortening our neck muscles and creating unnecessary neck and upper back issues. You've got to become aware of how you're walking and standing in the world. It should be:  shoulders back and down, chest out, core engaged.

2. Neck rotations. 4 in each direction, drawing the largest circle you can with your chin. Become aware of your shoulders; they should not be scrunching up. And GO SLOW, this is not a race! Do these facial exercises every day, and try not to skip - this relaxes tight shoulder & neck muscles.

3. Platysma stretch. You're going to want to place your hands on your chest, press down, and tilt your head up in the opposite direction where you feel tightness. Feel the stretch - and hold, for up to 2 minutes, and then rotate your head until you feel another tight spot. If it's tight, it needs to be relaxed. Go for it!

4. Jaw juts. You'll want to do these facial exercises 2-3x / week, and work up to 3 sets, 30 reps each set. Sit upright, shoulders down and back, stick your jaw out and contract it back, and then tilt your head up. When you tilt all the way you'll really feel the stretch in your neck muscles as you move your jaw back and forth. Do 30 counts, work up to 3 sets. This is FIRE 🔥




5. Tongue wags. This facial exercise is hard to demonstrate in stills, but you want to tilt your head back, stick your tongue out and go from lip corner to lip corner. Do for a count of 30, and work up to 3 sets.

Finally, be patient and consistent! Facial exercises are like going to the gym for your face, you’re not going to see results right away. You need to stay with it, stay focused, keep practicing these exercises. The biggest thing you need to do? Love your body! It loves you so much, you need to start telling it how beautiful and strong and resilient it is, and it will respond for you. Believe in your power - you can do this!
