I'm in my 50s and I'm demanding with my beauty products. THEY NEED TO WORK. Eye makeup needs to stay and not run. Foundation needs to cover and not crease. Lip products need to last and not feather.
But beyond that: my beauty products need to be clean without weird ingredients. So I'm always open to new products and brands, but this list is only what I personally use and absolutely love*.
Non-toxic SPF with a glow
I love OGEE’s primer which offers SPF40 mineral protection AND sets my makeup all day. Then there's RMS’ SunCoverUp mineral SPF50: set it and forget it, just beautiful all-day coverage that provides medium coverage and a subtle glow. Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint is also a fave.
Clean Foundation that Covers and Perfects
When you want to look polished, you need a great foundation to create the perfect base. My tried-and-true go-to is OGEE's Complexion perfecting tinted serum, because it's honestly tinted skincare, it's so nourishing and hydrating - and it provides amazing coverage. Ilia also has an excellent range of foundation products that I love.
Clean Concealers for the Perfect Canvas
For red spots and dark circles, I switch between these. I love OGEE's concealer because it offers a shade with olive undertones (!!), and RMS' concealer has a pinky-hue to it which automatically color corrects for dark spots and circles. Flawless finish.
Bronzers / Highlighters
I love a good bronzer to bring out dimension and warmth, and OGEE's bronzer doubles as my contour stick to sculpt my cheekbones and nose. I also love 19/99's sheen and glow, which gives me instant sunkissed radiance.
