Almost Spring: Reawakening Vitality

You're noticing it, I'm noticing it: it's nearly here! March marks a meaningful shift: the days are getting longer, light is returning, and after months of a slower pace, the world gradually begins to awaken. Buds are on the trees. The sun is more vibrant. Motivation comes back. Viscerally.
This month’s newsletter is about reawakening vitality: supporting your body as it shifts out of winter dormancy and into spring capability. It’s a time of revival, of restoration, of clearing out inputs that no longer serve us so we can (powerfully) rise and expand into our full potential.
Inside this month's newsletter, you’ll find the practices I lean into every year as things begin moving again: from the simplest fitness upgrade with the biggest payoff, to foods that revive skin after winter, to sifting through inputs and creating space for new energy that motivates and propels forward.
There are other goodies, too, like the Product of the Month: Josh Rosebrook's Active Infusion Oil (topical nutrition for your face), a fantastic tongue & neck posture exercise so you're aligned for vitality, and a new addition to my newsletter: a recipe of the month that's healthy, easy and insanely good (baked chicken teriyaki for the win!).
Hope you enjoy -

The Smallest Fitness Upgrade With the Biggest Payoff: The Weighted Vest
With winter fading and warmer temps headed our way, we're looking ahead to more time outdoors: more time in nature, more walks, more natural Vitamin D. One of the easiest ways to boost your muscle and bone strength is with a weighted vest. Consistently walking with a weighted vest (5 - 15% of your body weight) can protect you against osteoporosis and sarcopenia. If the heavy weights seem too daunting, this might be a natural first step. Read why this seemingly small fitness upgrade is actually a favorite in my Nursing Home Prevention Program.
Seven Beauty Superfoods I'm eating now to revive my skin
Are you done with dull, tired, dry wintry skin? Me too. It happens every year. As it gets colder, we move less. Less movement means less circulation means less blood flow means less collagen. 😱
But there's a fix - and it's in your kitchen! These seven beauty superfoods will bring back your glow: like eggs, which are high in Vitamin A (nature's retinol). Or blood-oranges, chock full of vitamin C (a necessary nutrient for collagen) and anti-oxidants that supports circulation. Or arugula, high in nitrates, which also help drive circulation. See what else I'm eating now for my glow up and grab my delicious baked chicken teriyaki recipe 👇
Why your sleep shifts in early spring - and what to do about it
Are you finding that it's harder to stay asleep as the days get longer? That has to do with your circadian rhythyms changing as we move into spring. Here are some sleep hacks to counterbalance this sleep shift that will have you resting peacefully in no time.
Does change feel overwhelming? Consider your inputs
Just a call out that we're living in unprecedented times with unprecedented access to information and, unfortunately, drama. Our inputs - the podcasts, shows, social feeds, news and even conversations we have - can have a positive impact by propelling us forward, or a negative impact, by holding us back or keeping us stuck in patterns. My latest post examines inputs and if changing some of yours might help you with motivation and perserverance. Read on. 👇
The Power of Decluttering and Making Space
There's a reason that spring cleaning is a ritual as old as time. Decluttering not only calms our nervous system, it improves working memory, and stimulates motivation, reawakening our possibilities for more. If there ever was a time to declutter, it's now. Read why 👇
Product of the Month: Josh Rosebrook Active Infusion Oil
I've been trialing Josh Rosebrook's Active Infusion Oil for the past few months, and the results are very good. This has quickly become a hero serum in my nighttime line up because it marries the power of a natural retinol (Vitamin A) together with the luminosity of an effective brightener (Vitamin C). I think of it as topical nutrition for my skin microbiome.
Never greasy, it absorbs quickly into the skin to work it's magic. Skin is firmer, lines are fewer, spots are more subdued and skin appears brighter. $85 and 15% savings with code JULIANA15 on the Beauty Heroes site.
Exercise of the Month: Tongue Posture & Neck Realignment
Sagging jowls, turkey neck? Your posture is incredibly important to your facial structure and how your face ages. Improper tongue and neck posture will age you faster, giving you drooping jowls and turkey neck. Here are some exercises to work on your posture:
Recipe of the Month: Baked Chicken Teriyaki
Baked chicken teriyaki is a favorite among many, but usually the sauce gets you in trouble. Teriyaki sauces are typically high in sugar and high fructose corn syrup, flavor enhancers, colorants, preservatives and thickeners. My homemade recipe swaps maple syrup for sugar and arrowroot powder for cornstarch. It also features lots of garlic and ginger for flavor and health benefits🔥🔥🔥 Add this quick, easy & healthy kiddo-loved recipe to your dinner lineup!
Hope you enjoyed our March 2026 newsletter! As always, I love feedback, so if something resonated with you or you have a comment about anything, please let me know. And send this to a friend who might enjoy it as well!
See you next month!
